ADVOCACY

Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) advocates every day for policy initiatives locally, in the statehouse and on Capitol Hill that protect your ability to own, buy and sell real property.

RPAC

LIBOR represents you on issues that affect your business by supporting candidates and issues relevant to your business. Your RPAC investment supports a powerful government affairs program that year after year has successfully defended and promoted property rights in your community.

EDUCATION

LIBOR offers higher learning courses, programs and national designation specialty courses, both online and in classroom to boost your income and increase your knowledge. Through LIBOR, you learn from the experts who give you the tools you need to succeed. Many courses are approved for NYS continuing education credits needed to maintain your license.

RISK REDUCTION

LEGAL HOTLINE

LIBOR has partnered with the New York State Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) to give our members access to its Legal Hotline. Members of LIBOR can call 518-43-NYSAR (518-436-9727) to answer legal questions that may arise during your daily transactions. The Legal Hotline is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and during official NYSAR functions.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

LIBOR offers its members options to resolve disputes between buyers, sellers, RE Brokers and Salespeople in a quick and cost- efficient manner. These services include ombudsman, mediation, and the handling of ethics and arbitration complaints. Our full time Professional Standards Department Staff can be reached at (631) 661-4800 (press 8) to answer any of your questions.
