However, if the nominee is determined to be the winner of the REALTOR® Spirit Award, the nominee must choose only ONE 501(c)3 nonprofit to receive a monetary grant from LIBOR.)

Who should we notify about the REALTOR® Spirit Award results?:

Send completed official entry form with all attachments to: Long Island Board of REALTORS® REALTOR® Spirit Award 300 Sunrise Highway West Babylon, NY 11704 Attn: Christina DeFalco-Romano

For receipt by July 31, 2023 @ 5 p.m. E.S.T

  1. Nominees must be members in good standing of the Long Island Board of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.
  2. Nominees should have contributed to a program that improves the livability of a community. Those activities aren’t limited to real estate or housing issues and are not limited to Queens/Nassau/Suffolk/Kings counties.
  3. Nominees should have made a significant contribution of personal time, but contributions of money, materials, or other resources will be considered by the judges as well. A monetary donation alone – regardless of amount – is NOT sufficient.
  4. Nominees will be judged on level of personal contribution, impact of personal contribution, and the nominee’s suitability as a role model for other REALTORS®.
  5. The award is intended to recognize individual contributions, not association- or company-wide efforts.
  6. Some portion of the nominee’s community work must have taken place between during the time period indicated, but judges will also consider ongoing efforts outside that time frame that demonstrate a depth of commitment.
  7. REALTORS® may nominate themselves or may be nominated by someone else, such as another LIBOR member, a state or local association, or the community organization they served.
  8. Grant will only be issued to a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
