RESPA Awareness Campaign
The National Association of Realtors® has launched a new campaign for 2006 to help real estate professionals better understand and comply with the requirements of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) as part of NAR’s RESPA Awareness Campaign.
RESPA was enacted in 1974 to provide consumers with advance disclosure of closing costs and prohibit kickbacks and excessive fees in the homebuying process.
Realtors can find all RESPA information including marketing agreements, affiliated business arrangements and general RESPA requirements at NAR's one-stop RESPA resource at the REALTOR.org website →.
